Holy Week is here! What is Holy Week? What about Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday? Click through the pictures each day to learn, play, and create! There are crafts, songs, activities, and recipes to try. Here's what you'll need to have at home to fully participate (of course you can make modifications wherever you need to!)...


Sunday, March 28: green construction paper, straw, scissors, markers, glue, green streamers, green scarves, live tree branches or palm leaf from craft.

Monday, March 29: oils, fragrances, and lotions found around the house.

Tuesday, March 30: "Serve, Follow, and Grow" paper, seeds, markers, glue, note cards and/or pens and/or origami paper.

     Tuesday recipe option 1: Roasted Garlic Dip: 1 head garlic, 2 teaspoons olive oil, 1/2 cup olive oil, 3 teaspoons lemon juice, 2 teaspoons dried oregano (or other spice), 1 teaspoon red pepper/chili flakes, salt and pepper, foods for dipping (i.e. bread, veggies, cheese).

     Tuesday recipe option 2: Eggplant Dip: olive oil, 1 eggplant, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley, 2 cloves crushed garlic, 1 cup yogurt, 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, 1 tablespoon bread crumbs, salt and pepper, foods for dipping (i.e. bread, veggies, cheese).

     Tuesday recipe option 3: Hummus: 1 can (15 oz) drained chickpeas (garbanzo beans), 3 tablespoons tahini (or 1 tablespoon sesame oil), 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/4 cup water, 3 cloves crushed garlic, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 pinch paprika, 1 sprig chopped parsley, foods for dipping (i.e. bread, veggies, cheese).

Wednesday, March 31: hand soap or lotion.

Thursday, April 1 recipe: Slow Braised Pot Roast: 1 1/2 lbs beef chuck roast (cut into bite-sized pieces), 1 parge potato (peeled and chopped), 9 oz mushrooms (cut into quarters if large), 2 carrots (chopped), 1 onion (chopped), 3 cloves minced garlic, 4 Tbsp tomato paste, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp salt, 3/4 tsp fresh or dried thyme, 1/2 tsp pepper, 32 oz beef broth, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup frozen peas

Friday, April 2: 7 candles.

Saturday, April 3: labyrinth, markers, crayons, coloured pencils.
